Two-step sign-in
Two-step sign-in adds a six-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, so a stolen email alone gets nobody into your books.
Turning it on
- Install an authenticator app, like Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy.
- In Goatkeeper, open the menu at the top right and tap Two-step sign-in.
- Scan the code with your authenticator app. On a phone, tap Open my authenticator app instead.
- Type The six digits the app shows, then tap Turn on two-step sign-in.
Signing in with it
After the code from your email, Goatkeeper asks for the six-digit code from your authenticator app. It changes every few seconds, so use the one on screen.
Lost your phone?
- Write to goat@goatkeeper.io from the email on your account.
- A person confirms it’s you, then resets it.
- Sign in and turn it on again with your new phone.
Tip: add a second authenticator, like a password manager on your computer, with Add another authenticator. Then losing one device doesn’t lock you out.
Still stuck? Message your team in the app, or email goat@goatkeeper.io. A real person answers.
