Connecting your bank
Connecting a bank is optional. Once it’s connected, transactions come in on their own and your bookkeeper books them the same way. For now, you connect on the web.
How to connect
- Sign in at app.goatkeeper.io.
- Open the menu and tap Bank connections. You can also connect from the banks step of your Business profile.
- Tap Connect a bank.
- Sign in on your bank’s own screen and pick the accounts to share.
What it can see
- What came in and went out, and balances. It’s read-only and can’t move a cent.
- You sign in on your bank’s screen, through Plaid. We never see or store your bank password.
Keeping it working
- If a bank asks you to sign in again, Bank connections says so. Tap it and sign in.
- To pull the latest, tap Check for new.
- You can disconnect an account any time from the same place.
Statements are still the main way we keep your books. If a connection breaks or a bank isn’t supported, just send the statement.
